1.  What are online coupons?
  Online coupons work by the same principal as traditional coupons which you would redeem at a retail store. The only difference is that “online” coupons are only redeemable online and are not for in-store purchases. Since most internet users are transitioning to more online shopping due to the convenience and competitive pricing, online coupons have become the way of the future.


2.  What are the two types of Online Coupons and how do I use them?
  •  Embedded Coupons: Just click the "Redeem Coupon" button and shop at the online store as you normally would. The offer or discount is embedded in the link that you clicked and it will automatically be reflected at check out. You don't need a coupon code.

•  Code Coupons: Sometimes you need to enter a code at checkout to redeem a specific offer. In such cases we will provide you with this coupon code. Click the "Redeem Coupon" button and you will notice that the coupon code is displayed in the Coupon Cactus banner at the top of the new browser window for your convenience. When you are done shopping you will be directed to checkout where you will need to enter the coupon code we provide to you in order to receive the stated discount. Every online retailer's site is different and a coupon code on their site might also be called a promo code, promotion code, promotional code, or discount code. Whatever the name, this code tells the online store exactly which offer you are redeeming and it must be entered for the coupon to work.


3.  For what reason might a coupon not work?
  As long as you click on the "Redeem Coupon" button (and enter a coupon code at checkout if there is one) then you shouldn't have any problems. Every once in a while a merchant might withdraw their coupon offer without letting us know or they might be having technical difficulties. In such cases please wait an hour or so and try again. If it still does not work then please Contact Us so we can help you to resolve the issue.

  Yes.   You can either click the link at the bottom of the last CAS newsletter we emailed you or you can Contact Us to let us know the old and new email addresses and we'll take care of it for you.


6. Is there a fee to use Coupon Cactus?
  No, every service that Coupon Cactus provides to its users is absolutely free.


7.  Do I need to provide personal information to use coupons on Coupon Cactus?
  No, Coupon Cactus does not require registration or any other personal information in order to use our online coupons but if you don't want to miss any valuable coupons you might want to provide your email address so we can email you once a week with our Coupon Alert System. In addition, if you want to receive cash back on top of the great coupon discounts then you can become a member.


8.  Can I print Online Coupons?
  No, there is no need to print online coupons. They are instant discounts which are redeemed immediately upon checkout. At this time we do not offer printable in-store coupons.


9.  Can I combine coupons on a single purchase?
  Rarely. The rules for combining offers varies from online store to online store so please check the specific store's website for their guidelines. 10. How do I start earning cash back on my purchases?
  It's easy and you will kick yourself for not having done it sooner! All you need to do is sign-up for free membership and shop from your Cactus Page and we'll start sending you checks!


11. Is cash back reflected at checkout?
  At checkout you will see any coupon discounts you redeemed but you will not see your cash back rewards. Cash back is a rebate that Coupon Cactus, not the store, shares with you so you will need to wait until it is posted in your Coupon Cactus account.


12. How soon is cash back posted to my account?
  Cash back and commissions are usually reported on our website within 48 hours. However, the process can take as long as 4 weeks due to the variations between the different stores' financial reporting systems. In addition, many stores do not pay a commission until the order has been shipped and the return period for the purchase has elapsed.
Remember that we can only pay cash back on purchases made through the Coupon Cactus website so be sure to always use the coupons or links on your Cactus Page when shopping.


13. When do I get paid?
 

Coupon Cactus pays cash back and commissions on a quarterly basis. The dates covered by each quarter and their respective payment dates are as follows:

Quarter 3 July 1 - September 30 November 15
Quarter 4 October 1 - December 31 February 15


If the balance in your account at the end of the quarter is less than $1.00 then payment will be postponed and the balance will stay in your account and carry over into the next quarter. For your convenience we offer payment by check or via Paypal.



14. How do I make sure I am earning cash back?
  In order to be eligible for cash back on a purchase you must click on a Coupon Cactus coupon or link to purchase from an online store. Always start your purchase from your Cactus Page or sign into your account and then proceed. If you have multiple browser windows open then be sure that you make your purchase on the merchant's site from the browser window that was opened by Coupon Cactus and has our banner at the top of the page.


15. Will I earn cash back if I use non-Coupon Cactus discounts for any part of my        purchase?
  Coupon Cactus provides many coupons and deals which can be combined with our cash back program. However, we cannot guarantee that your purchase will be eligible for cash back savings if you use coupons, coupon codes, promo codes, gift certificates, or any other offer that does not originate from Coupon Cactus. In addition, please note that the offers listed on Coupon Cactus are subject to change and restrictions may apply.


16. Do all purchases qualify to earn cash back?
 

Almost every purchase made through Coupon Cactus qualifies for cash back. However, there are a few restrictions:       

  • No cash back rewards on Sales Tax
  • No cash back rewards on Shipping costs
  • No cash back rewards on any portion of a purchase paid with:
    • Non-Coupon Cactus offers
    • Medicare or any insurance coverage
    • Gift certificates
    • Store Credit
  • No cash back rewards on the purchase of gift certificates
  • No cash back on any purchases where the transaction is mostly completed by telephone
  • Most auction purchases do not qualify for cash back rewards
  • Purchases made online but are picked up at the merchant store do not qualify for cash back rewards
  • Orders for merchant catalogs do not qualify for cash back rewards
  • Monthly deliveries do not qualify for cash back rewards unless the entire delivery period is paid for in advance
  • Prescription medication purchases (human or animal) do not qualify for cash back rewards
  • Any additional store restrictions are posted on that store's profile page
