In 1969, Mike Sciarra started constructing surfboards in the family garage in Wildwood Crest.It was a year of incredible events in America including the Woodstock Festival,the inauguration of Richard Nixon as the 37th President and the first moonwalk. Mike had a fond love for the ocean that continuesto this day. He started surfing when he was 12 and you can still find him ridingthe waves at the Jersey Shore. Mike attended the University of Hawaii, earned a degree inbusiness that has helped his company thrive. Mike also learned the art of shaping and glassing surfboards from the masters who lived at the North Shore.
